James Shaw

Jim became a KEDC board member in September 2023.
Jim brings more than 35 years’ experience in accounting and financial governance experience to his role. His background spans many sectors, including corporate banking (Scotiabank), education (University of Alberta), and government (BC Ministry of Forests) and industrial forestry (Catalyst and Mosaic Forest Management). His most recent position was as Operations Controller at Mosaic.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alberta, and a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. He is also currently a board member for the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Society in Nanaimo.
