Christina Hadath

Board Member

Christina Hadath is a proud member of the K’ómoks First Nation, deeply connected to her community through her family roots and her ongoing commitment to advancing K’ómoks’ path toward self-determination and economic sovereignty.

Professionally, Christy serves as Senior Vice President, Indigenous Interests & Community Well-Being at Falkirk, where she leads complex projects across Canada that centre Indigenous rights, governance, and partnership in the resource and infrastructure sectors. Over her career, she has worked closely with dozens of Nations, Crown agencies, and industry partners to develop reconciliation-based business models, environmental frameworks, and policies that honour Indigenous laws and knowledge systems. She is widely recognized for her ability to mediate, facilitate, and guide cross-cultural understanding in high-stakes contexts.

Christy holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Studies. She is also the author of Weaving Two Worlds – Economic Reconciliation between Indigenous Peoples and the Resource Sector, a nationally recognized book exploring pathways for shared prosperity through respect, consent, and collaboration.

Within K’ómoks, Christy has supported key governance initiatives including participation on the Treaty team, negotiations table and supporting the land use and environmental planning. She continues to advocate for approaches that balance economic growth with cultural and environmental stewardship.

Her vision for serving on the KEDC Board is to help advance a self-sustaining, values-driven economy for K’ómoks—one that creates meaningful opportunities for members today while protecting the lands, waters, and teachings that define who we are as a people.
