Kim Webber

Board Member

Kim is a proud K’ómoks member, daughter of Cindy Frank and granddaughter of Clifford and Leone Frank. She grew up on reserve in K’ómoks before moving to Vancouver to pursue her career. She is married to Curtis, and has a puppy named Kona. Kim joined the KEDC Board in October 2025.

Kim brings experience in Aboriginal and corporate law, with knowledge in First Nation governance, First Nation economic development and trust agreements. She is currently employed by Mandell Pinder LLP, a boutique aboriginal law firm in Vancouver that serves First Nation governments, First Nation economic development corporations and Indigenous organizations throughout British Columbia.

Kim holds a Juris Doctor with a specialization in Aboriginal Law from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia as well as a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics and a minor in Indigenous Studies from the University of Victoria.
Kim has served on the K’ómoks Education and Capacity Development Committee since 2023 and has worked with the K’ómoks Treaty Team in different capacities since 2018. Kim has always been an advocate for Indigenous peoples and their participation in spaces that have historically excluded them. She served in various student leadership roles throughout her time at university and currently serves on the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch Aboriginal Lawyers Forum executive.

Kim believes that all Indigenous peoples and governments should be able to thrive and prosper. To do so, it requires economic prosperity, capacity development and strong leadership that uphold the cultural values and teachings of our ancestors. Those are the goals that Kim will continue to advocate for in her role on the KEDC Board.
