Jas Kashyap
Chief Executive Officer
Jas Kashyap joined the KEDC team as Chief Operating Officer in November 2025. A strategic business leader with more than 15 years of experience, Jas specializes in building economic pathways for Indigenous communities through operational excellence, cross-cultural collaboration, and long-term capacity development. He brings a deep commitment to advancing Indigenous-led business development and strengthening operational efficiency grounded in community values.
Before joining KEDC, Jas served as Director of Business Development and Partnerships at the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC) in the Northwest Territories. In this role, he supported TIC’s multi-sector portfolio—including heavy civil construction, logistics, camp services, and aviation partnerships—and helped align operations with the strategic priorities of the Tłı̨chǫ Government. His work ensured that employment, skills training, and Nation-building remained central to economic growth.
Throughout his career, Jas has worked at the intersection of governance, enterprise, and community development. He has led joint ventures, developed inclusive operational models, and built trusted relationships with leadership teams and stakeholders across sectors.
Jas holds an MBA from Vancouver Island University (Canada), an MSc in International Business from the University of Hertfordshire (United Kingdom), and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (India).
